Band Reviews & Testimonials

Stars

"We honestly couldn't have wished for a better band than The California Calling. From the moment they started playing, the atmosphere completely changed. They judged the room perfectly, keeping the energy building throughout the evening until every single guest was on the dance floor. Their musicianship was outstanding, but what really stood out was how much fun they were having themselves—it was impossible not to get caught up in it. We've had so many people asking who they were since the wedding!"

"Where do we even begin? The California Calling absolutely made our wedding reception. We'd spent months planning every little detail, but the evening was everything we'd hoped for because of them. They performed our first dance beautifully before launching into an incredible set that had everyone—from our nieces and nephews to our grandparents—up dancing together. Looking around the room and seeing so many smiling faces is a memory we'll treasure forever."

Wedding at Rockbeare Manor

Stars

"We'd seen The California Calling at a friend's wedding and knew they were good, but they somehow managed to exceed even those expectations. They were so easy to deal with in the lead-up to the day and everything ran effortlessly on the night. The setlist was full of songs everyone knew without feeling predictable, and they were brilliant at reading the crowd. Every time we thought the atmosphere couldn't get any better, they'd launch into another floor-filler. Even the venue staff commented afterwards on how full the dance floor had been all evening. We'd book them again tomorrow if we could!"

"One of our biggest worries when planning the wedding was making sure the evening didn't lose momentum after the meal. We needn't have worried! The California Calling took over and turned it into one of the best nights of our lives. Their sound was incredible, the transitions between songs were seamless and they had such a natural way of getting everyone involved without ever feeling cheesy. Friends who we'd barely seen all day ended up singing arm in arm together by the final song, and that's exactly the kind of atmosphere we'd hoped for. We honestly can't thank them enough for giving us such an unforgettable finish to the best day of our lives."
