Artist Republic has signed a three year agreement with Guest Requests to operate its wedding song request software across our wedding and function band roster. Every couple who books an Artist Republic band now receives a free Guest Requests account, a service worth £89.95.
Guest Requests gives each couple a private page with its own link to share with their guests before the wedding. Guests open it on their phone, add their name and put forward up to ten songs each, with a dedication if they want one, while a live chart shows which tracks are proving most popular. The couple sees every suggestion as it arrives, keeps the ones they love and declines anything they would rather not hear, alongside their own Must play and Do not play lists.
The requests reach the evening in two ways. Each band keeps a short list of songs it is prepared to take as live requests, and any guest suggestion that matches it is flagged for the band. Everything else shapes the interim disco that plays between the band’s sets, which is where most requests will be heard. Once the request window closes, the band receives a single handover list, split between live and disco, ready to work from on the night.
There is nothing for couples to set up in advance. Once a booking is confirmed, the account is created automatically and a welcome email follows with a link to claim the page, using the same email address the booking was made with. Couples then choose their page link and make the page live when they are ready to share it.
Taylor Tegg-Vardy, Customer Service Operator at Artist Republic, looks after our couples from the day they book through to the wedding itself. “We’re so excited to be continuing our relationship with Guest Requests for the next three years,” she said. “It means every couple who books an Artist Republic band can have a properly interactive wedding, where their guests are part of the music on the night rather than simply listening to it.”
No band name appears anywhere a guest can see, so couples who would like to keep their entertainment a surprise can share the page freely, and all booking data is deleted one month after the wedding. Full details are at guestrequests.co.uk, and couples with questions about their account can contact the Guest Requests team at support@guestrequests.co.uk.
